Dijon-Nimes, 25th July

Nous avons arrivees a Nimes and it is a massive 37° here - have had a swim and we are waiting for a "tray of meat" at Buffalo Grill, which is 20 seconds walk from our hotel. Left Dijon early this morning, 450 kms drive to Nimes, this was the longest day's drive of the trip. Went through Lyon, which looks fantastic - went under the Rhone, then drove alongside it for ages. Today we are going to find breakfast in Nimes, then go and look at a bit of Roman architecture, the Pont du Gard which I visited on my French exchange round here in (ouch!) 1978!!
